If you need a fun activity on a rainy day, animal sausages are where it’s at. They’re fun to make, and there are so many combinations possible.

Bug sausages and centipedes if you like.

bug sausages

Jellyfish too.

ring sausages pre-cookingAnd ring sausages if you slice a sausage into discs and thread the noodles between the discs.

ring sausage post-cooking

To get the noodles to stay in the sausage, thread the noodles through the sausage prior to boiling.  centipede sausage, before cooking

Then boil till noodles are ready and you’ll have an animal shape sausage :0)

centipede sausage post-cooking:) super fun and easy. You can use any type of sausage or noodle you like!

Animal Sausages

  • Sausages (any kind you like eating is good)
  • Straight spaghetti noodles, broken in half

  1. Cut sausage into shapes you like
  2. Thread spaghetti noodles through the sausage
  3. Boil until sausage and noodles are fully cooked
  4. Serve!

These are so unique and awesome haha!
I can imagine 5-year-old boys would really get a kick out of making bugs to play with and eat. (And I could totally scare my girlfriend with spider-sausages…a plan is already forming.)
